Pre-Eclipse Moon© – Genesis 1:16

Pre-Eclipse Moon

We were watching the moon closely on this particular night because there was to be a full eclipse. Although my inexpensive digital camera was incapable of capturing any of the eclipse because of the low light conditions, the intensity of the blue in this early shot was a very pleasing result – and the “light” in the night sky was impressive. It was a Wednesday night, and our Bible study group kept running out on the deck to see the progression of the eclipse. We got more watching than studying done that evening.

Where would we be without the sun and the moon? A little closer or a little further away, the sun would not sustain our planet; and without the moon and its governance of the ocean tides as God has set it up, we would be without the oceans that provide not only “climate control” but sustenance in the way of abundant food. Genesis is filled with the amazing facts of creation. Take the opportunity to study it, if you haven’t already.
